I’m curious if anyone can confirm whether someone can hack into your network via a saas based sever. For example, I use a website hosting service like square space and the domain name is my company name. I also have internal hosted systems using a different domain name for my employees to login and check their pay or insurance or whatever. If someone hacks the square space website hosting server, can they back door into my internal network? For context I’m having a serious debate about the reality of this vulnerability because the website doesn’t have any critical or sensitive information on it, the internal sites do. The only thing “connecting” them is a similar domain name.
