knowing that the buffer is 64 characters and that from the buffer to the variable that I would like to change there is 4 bytes in between. How would I go about changing the variable that’s after the four bytes to 5.

I have tried using ‘A’*68 + “5”, but have had no luck. What is it that I may be doing wrong here?

From some searches, this should be the right input to pass, but haven’t been able to get it to work. I have also tried doing b’A’*68 + 0x00000005.to_bytes(4, “little”), but to no success either. Is my issue an alignment issue still or a value entry one?

Thank you for any help you provide!
