I’d like to implement a c++ program that copies itself over different networks, I’m not looking to do much more than that since this is only to strengthen my networking skills (looking to make a private version of discord for me and my friends to communicate). Any ideas on how to implement this?

Copies itself to where and how?

Let’s assume your app is currently loaded onto a system, it wants to migrate. How does it get to the next system? RDP, SMB, SSH, other?

When it gets there, how does it execute so it can continue on?

The term you’re looking for is ‘worm’ for applications that do this.
