My friends recommended me a certain website to download songs. The thing is I’m a little bit paranoid when it comes to viruses/malwares. Is it possible to infect my windows computer and/or my android phone by running a mp3 file?

Yes, you can, but it would be a targeted attack, if you have been doing something that raises suspicion there are people out there that can create exploits and social engineering attacks based on what you do and use.
The chances of this type of attack are 1/100 unless you’ve been doing something to raise the suspicion of the gov or the 1337.

I vaguely remember that some years ago there was a “mp3-virus” of sorts that would “infect” through windows media player, probably due to some specific vulnerability in WMP.
