Is there theoretically a way that I could send data to a Cisco VOIP phone using an external device. For example, if I had a computer with direct physical access to the phone, could I use the computer to dial an extension on the network without touching the phone. So I’m this instance I could have a raspberry pi connected to the back of the phone(this is the part I need guidance on) and then use the raspberry pi to dial an extension on the network. What I’m asking about is how I would connect the pi to the phone, ideally I would be able to connect to the phone without opening it. Could I connect by using the pi as an intermediary between the phone and the phone line? If so how much control does that give me. Thanks
