Hi, i’ve recently bought a USB wifi adapter TP-LINK TL-WN722N and it has the Realtek R8188EU adapter. I’ve seen people on the internet say that the version 1 of this adapter uses an Atheros **AR9271** chipset which is only capable of monitor mode. Again there are few people saying that the version 2 having this Realtek chipset is also capable of monitor mode. I’m really confused. Someone please help.
In case if you’re thinking of telling me to buy the Alfa adapters, No, i can’t afford to buy them cause my budget won’t allow me to. It costs around USD60 (Rs. 4500) in here. I’m in India btw. If you can suggest other usb wifi adapters too, it will be helpful.
