Whenever I plug in my phone in my laptop it’ll pop up with a message in the bottom right corner saying something like “finish setting up ___ brand of phone”.
Let’s just say I live in a place that is a bit more “public” than usual. Saw a brand new guy in the early morning using an entire charging strip (can charge up to 10 things at once or so).
Few hours later in the morning I’m using my laptop and I see what I described in my first sentence, despite not plugging a phone into my laptop. A ‘TCL LX’ phone.
Just how suspicious/malicious could this be? Thanks guys and sorry if this is wrong place to post, I read the rules and figured its better than tech support but maybe I’m just really confused.

Charging strip is fairly normal. Especially a homeless dude charging 10 things (not 10 cell phones though…).
Any chance you mistook a Bluetooth connection attempt for USB?
Or shared folder access attempt?
Anyways, this is really a tech support question…
