I’m not an expert. I just call myself a baby hacker cuz I’m new, I’m exploring, and learning. So far I’ve only done hacker CTF exercises designed for like…high-school kids lol but hey I’m learning more everyday.
Anyway, feel free to explain to me like I’m 5 or talk to me assuming like I know everything. Either way I am gonna research the crap out of your answers cuz I really want to get to the truth.
—WHAT are the security concerns of tiktok? Huwei? (Tell me if I’m missing others)
—HOW much of those security concerns exist with other companies like google, Apple, Facebook?
—is it possible… that even just some of the fear surrounding Chinese products is rooted in xenophobia? I’ve just a tiny bit?
Is it both? I’m ready for an honest conversation. I don’t know how I feel. Thank you so much. Everyone here is always very nice, so I don’t meant to sound antagonizing! I am here to learn.
Edit: update: I recently posted info sec questions here before that got tons of positive responses, but it’s sense been removed for being off topic. If these line of questions are better suited for another subreddit please let me know. To me infosec = hacking but I understand why in some ways it doesn’t for the topic of this subreddit. Thank you. I’m not trying to get banned.

I don’t know about Huawei and TikTok but accusations for the famous Chinese phone brand Xiaomi have been disproven
