I’m interested in getting into cyber security as a career, and really like the idea of building some home made scripts to speed up things like enumeration/repeating HTTP requests/password cracking etc. Basically I’d like to homebrew a toolkit, cause I think it will be a great way to learn how everything works and will help me avoid just using premade tools (which I know people frown upon haha). Only problem is, I don’t have many ideas.
I think I’d like to recreate some classic tools (things like nmap, dirbuster) but I’m thinking these will probably be quite out of scope for a beginner. I’ve already written a very rudimentary repeater (like in Burp Suite) but it would be great to get some ideas from here! Any recommendations, whether they’re simple or insanely difficult, would be appreciated 🙂
