    Hello,

I was wondering if it is possible to see the mac address of the router from captured wireless packets, when not actually connected to any of the wireless networks? The mac address for the BSSID’s is very close to the address of the mac address and I’m wondering if this could be used to infer the mac address of the router itself?

Portions in the brackets match between the BSSIDS and the mac address of the router, the final digits in the sequence are different.

    [3C:90:66:xx:xx:]40
    [3C:90:66:xx:xx:]44
    [3C:90:66:xx:xx:]4a

Is there a more direct way to learn the mac address of the router, not the wireless, without actually being connected to it?
