Apple’s New Windows 10 iCloud App Now Available in MS Store
Apple has brought their new iCloud app to the Microsoft Store for Windows 10 devices. This app is deeply integrated into Windows 10 and offers feaso that you access iCloud files from within other Windows apps.
Apple’s iCloud app is the same desktop version available online, but it offers a new iCloud experience on Windows 10. Microsoft and Apple have again worked together to bring iCloud to Microsoft Store. In a blog post, Microsoft stated that iCloud’s new app will allow Apple users to store and access their contents across Microsoft and Apple devices.
When launched, users will be asked what type of content they would like to integrate with Windows 10.
Once configured, you can access various features by clicking on the Taskbar icon. This will bring up a list of integrated features that can you use as shown below.
Microsoft also revealed that the new iCloud Drive experience uses the same technology as OneDrive’s Files On-Demand feature. This means iCloud users can temporarily download and use files from Apple’s online storage service.
You can also view and edit the files directly on your Windows 10 device without saving them to the local drive.
Features of the new iCloud app for Windows:
- The new iCloud app allows you to access your iCloud Drive files right from File Explorer and you don’t have to save the files.
- Choose the files and folders you want to keep on your PC.
- You can store all your files in the iCloud Drive and access from your Apple device or other iCloud apps.
- Share any file right from File Explorer and easily collaborate with others – edits will be synced across your devices
