PS5 Back in Stock?
Nothing made more ripples in the tech community apart from the next-gen consoles and Nvidia RTX 30 series cards. And AMD’s Big Navi too. These were the major tech highlight of the last year and continue to storm this year’s headlines also. If there is one thing that is actually common with all the above-mentioned tech is their unavailability. Ever since September gamers have been yearning to buy a next-gen console but the stock seems to run out even before the buyers get the wind of the availability.
The latest drop is arriving at the Game Stop today, as confirmed by their Twitter handle. The post was shared yesterday so that you can gain cognizance about the restock on their website. The most that can be inferred from the post is that all the next-gen consoles including the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch will be available on Thursday. Any details about the stock size have been kept away from the users. It would be helpful if the curious buyers would have an idea about the number of items for sale.
The strategy seems apt as there is a rise in the scalping activity on many websites. Scalpers are exerting more pressure on the wallets of buyers by charging them even twice the price of the console. We would advise you to refrain from purchasing one from scalpers, as the new stock will roll-out eventually. It is a patience game with these consoles and GPUs anyway. The waiting is advised because there are not a lot of newer games available for the PS5 or Xbox Series X|S anyway.
It does not make sense to buy a PS5 when all it has to offer is Assassins Creed: Valhalla, Demon Souls, Call of Duty: Cold War, Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Astro’s Playroom, and a few other titles. If you further narrow-down it to what a gamer will choose, the list shrinks even further. That goes the same for Xbox also. No new exclusives yet. Yes, there will be huge AAA titles gracing the consoles this year, but that will not culminate in the month of January itself. It will continue till the end of the year. So, keep your patience game-on and with for the consoles to release as intended. Do not waste money on scalped products as they will continue to surge the prices if we partake in the process.
Even if you miss the sale on Thursday, do not be disheartened as more units are likely to arrive in a week or so. Nothing is set in stone but what would the brand do if not sell the consoles? They are for the gamers only and if you are not able to pick up one just wait as you have, for the past six months. It is recommended to get such an expensive piece of tech from certified sellers only. Since the console is new, facing problems with it is quite common. Buying from a trusted online or physical seller gives you the advantage to return the console for maintenance or request a replacement if you are liable for one.
