  3. This is a super helpful series. There are obviously a lot of privacy news out there, and it can sometimes be hard to keep up. At least in this series we can get a summary/information on the privacy news for the week. Techlore making our lives easier. We stan a privacy king

  5. ORO 0147 says:

List your sources in the description

  6. Heraclitus says:

Anonymization is a myth; data can be "re-identified" to specific individuals: "Over the past few years … computer scientists have repeatedly shown that even anonymized data can often be re-identified and attributed to specific individuals. In an influential law review article, Paul Ohm observed that '[r]eidentification science disrupts the privacy policy landscape by undermining the faith that we have placed in anonymization.'[*] The implications for government and businesses can be stark, given that de-identification has become a key component of numerous business models, most notably in the contexts of health data (regarding clinical trials, for example), online behavioral advertising, and cloud computing." See: “Privacy in the Age of Big Data,” by Omer Tene & Jules Polonetsky, Stanford Law Review, Vol. 64, February 2, 2012 https://www.stanfordlawreview.org/online/privacy-paradox-privacy-and-big-data/ [*] “Broken Promises of Privacy: Responding to the Surprising Failure of Anonymization,” by Paul Ohm, UCLA Law Review, Vol. 57, No. 6, August 2010 https://www.uclalawreview.org/pdf/57-6-3.pdf

  7. One of the computer lags in my college switched to a new layout for the desks causing some people to be at their computer with their back to the lecturer so they suggest we use teams to allow the lecturer to share their screen via teams to the students in the room.

It would he a good solution but it's so laggy. The college had almost 50mb/s download speed but the screen share is about 30 seconds behind the lecturer's screen

  8. Hey are you thinking about sound dampening where ever you are when you shoot these things? I’m having a hard time hearing the parts where you trail off because of sarcasm.

  9. Cory House says:

  14. TheOys says:

Was just thinking the other day that it would be cool if someone did reports on privacy related news like this! Thank you for making this, looking forward to the next one!

  15. Teams has actually being pushed really hard by Microsoft as part of their Office suite for corporate clients. I don't know why but they're really trying to get rid of Skype for Business by any means necessary. To the point they actually origanize seminars just to get you to use it. The app itself isn't bad at all and has some good ideas but it looks really suspicious.

  16. I Do Know If This Video Will Be A One Time Thing, But Please Do Make More Weekly/ Bi-Weekly Privacy News Videos, Good Sir. 🙂

  17. SATAN says:

    Man my sextape is leaked.

    -Thanks google.

  18. John Smith says:

“Protect the children”. Yes, protect the children from the biggest threat to their own lives. THE GOVERNMENT.

The last century was the bloodiest on record. More people were killed in the 20th Century by their own government than that died in all the wars that took place, COMBINED.

People haven’t changed and evil people still use government to gain total power. Encryption and information help keep these people from using the state to murder those who disagree.

  19. Try doing your gig without the echo, or get out of Mom's basement and rent an apartment.

  21. Me : Did you protect my data from the others ?
    Google : Well , Yes
Me : if someone would pay high for it , would you sell it ?
    Google : Actually , YES !

  22. - says:

2:20 – Even if the data were really anonymized, it wouldn't matter because with enough of it or with just the right pieces, you can still be uniquely identified, that's how Panopticlick works.

  23. Twist Mint says:

Just get a clapper “clap on” “clap off”

  24. I Rr i says:

  28. Luv4Cheese says:

Loving the new series. See you next Friday.

  29. Speaking of google. Google and other apps are listening to what you watch on tv and music you listen to. Google sent me mail asking me to be a tester of some of there tech stuff. In the letter you are given a link that goes into more detail. They want to listen to what you watch and music you listen to. Sounds creepy cool, but not for me. After short period of time, the link with more detail is gone. Get a microphone blocking app folks. Still wondering why certain ads suddenly pop up. Now you know. 😎✌l use PilferShush Jammer from F-Droid store.

  30. New series!?!? YOO THIS IS HYPE!
