Tesla’s New Emergency Braking System Can Prevent Cars From Hitting People

Tesla cars are all about various new technologies and they seem to work. Adding more features to its cars, Tesla has now started teasing new features coming to its Automatic Emergency Braking System in an upcoming update.

As announced via a tweet, Tesla has suggested that its next-generation emergency braking system will be able to save pedestrians from being hit by a car by detecting people on the road.

Elon Musk’s Tesla has even shown some real-life examples in the form of videos, with the tweet suggesting that even people on cycles can be prevented from car crashes.

Here’s a look at the tweets —

For those who don’t know, Tesla recently received a five star in collision avoidance car test conducted by British research firm Thatcham Research. The company received the highest rating for its Model 3, meaning that the electric car is capable of avoiding and surviving car crashes.

As a reminder, Volvo, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) use the same automated braking system. Hence, Tesla’s update is not new.

Tesla has talked about its technology in all its glory, but its Autopilot technology is not something that is perfect; the tech can easily be fooled and has even resulted in a car crash.

Maybe the new update will make the technology better than before.
